I have always loved making lists. And so, here’s my list of recent experiential mystical magical things (with links!) As ever, take what serves you and leave the rest!
Rise & Write with Alex Elle. This is a free one hour weekly writing group with 4 prompts (10 min each) and big, brave, beautiful community shares at the end. Alex Elle generously facilitates this group and it is such a gift, if you feel lacking in connection try this out! You will very likely connect to yourself in the writing space and hear parts of yourself in the shares. I participate via the replays which you can find here in the dropbox.
The Wild Unknown Archetypes deck by Kim Krans. I have had this deck for several years and last year I started using it regularly, and I really love it.
What can we learn from each other? This question is one I try to hold and return to as a sacred practice in my life. This week I learned something from a client about the value of honoring all of our emotions and making art to express the full range of emotions, including the harder ones.
Joy is my Justice by Dr. Tanmeet Sethi. "Joy is the ability to sit with all that life has given us.” The learning from my client above made me think about Dr. Sethi's definition of joy which is about so much more than happiness. Her book is an amazing resource.
Fireproof by Matishyahu. I am feeling so lifted and held by this song lately, I recommend listening to it loud in your earbuds!
Laura McKowen this week on We Can Do Hard Things podcast (Episode 272 & 273). Laura's voice is one I have learned a lot from over the past few years on my own sobriety journey. There are two episodes on WCDHT and I recommend them both! Also Laura's book, Push Off From Here: Nine Essential Truths to get you through sobriety (and everything else) is so good.
