ART FOR PALESTINE CHILDREN'S RELIEF FUND

Hi,
This week I am making this image available as an art print and all the proceeds from the sales will go to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. The print is $35.00 and it is a fine art glicee print, 10 x 10 inches. It could be a great holiday gift.
I drew this image a few weeks ago inspired by a friend who was sharing about her inner light.
I can’t quite put words to why making this image brought me satisfaction and felt meaningful… maybe because it came through right at the beginning of the dark month of October 2023 when our world plunged into even darker depths of despair and violence, while listening to a friends truth.
Maybe it’s because making this image helped me see clearly that despite the darkness all around, I still want to shine bright. I still want to uphold our shared humanity. I still want to say that peace is possible.
This image is my own kind of vigil, a symbol of witnessing, a small way to honor the many lives of our fellow humans in the Middle East and beyond, who are experiencing so much continued crisis, unimaginable horror and heartbreak.
I have been hugging my daughter tightly and while I do, I ask Love to somehow visit and hold the many parents in Gaza who suddenly can’t hug their own babies anymore and the many babies who don’t have parents to hug them anymore.
There’s a lot I don’t know or understand about the conflicts in our world right now. But I do know that cycles of violence and vengeance do not yield peace, those are the tools and results of oppression.
We need a new way, right away.
