I thought I would share the story of this art piece with you today. I made it early on in the pandemic, in response to a workshop I had taken from an international NGO dedicated to ending war in our world. The class was my first introduction to the power of deep listening.
The skills of deep listening are the foundation of my coaching practice. When I listen at this level I am relaxed and at ease, it’s one of the states in which I feel most myself. It is similar to the creative flow I experience when I draw or paint.
I believe deep listening creates an understanding that can be a path to peace.
